No One Left Behind: The Art and Craft of Convergent Facilitation

September 16 / 2014 - September 19 / 2014

4 days training for anyone and everyone who is involved with group decision making

Program Description

This workshop focuses on the unique method Miki Kashtan has developed for facilitating group decision making.

Many people who have struggled to create an inclusive process while maintaining efficacy and productivity have exclaimed in desperation, “But it just takes too long!” Well, it doesn’t have to. In this workshop Miki shares a unique decision-making process that can be used throughout the lifecycle of a long-term project, or to break through a bottleneck within a group, or even in emergency situations just to reach a quick decision.

Based on the principles of Nonviolent Communication, this collaborative process moves with fluency and grace to enable decisions that allow everyone to be on board without creating polarization, animosity, or resentment. The fast pace and transparency of the process often reduce anxiety and fatigue by making visible to the group the progress toward a decision.

Participants acquire skills that are extremely valuable for anyone working with groups in the community, be it in the social, political, educational, organizational or governmental sectors.

This workshop is designed to be highly interactive and practical and to provide ample opportunities for hands-on practice and coaching, including situations brought by participants.
