Feature Film Synopsis

This synopsis was written after Miki was approached by a Hollywood director who learned of her work was eager to create a film based on her stories. It was published here in conjunction with the fourth article, Finding Systemic Solutions to Systemic Problems, in a nine part series Apart and Together.

This film is about how ordinary and not so ordinary people address common human challenges, both personal and social, in a future world. Through the unfolding story we see the infrastructure of a world that is entirely organized around attending to the needs of all, human and beyond.

Although it’s unlikely that the making of the film will take place, there may be someone reading this who is a talented and experienced screenwriter, and the project may yet become a reality.
